Stream Polls: Engage Your Audience in Real Time

Run live polls while you multistream. Viewers on Twitch and YouTube vote by typing in chat. Results update in real time across both platforms.

The engagement problem

Live streaming can feel one-directional. You talk, your audience watches. Chat helps, but most viewers lurk without typing. Polls change that dynamic by giving every viewer a low-effort way to participate. Just type a single number in chat.

When you multistream, engagement gets even harder. Your audience is split across Twitch and YouTube, and running separate polls on each platform means fragmented results and double the management. Rebeam's stream polls solve this by collecting votes from both platforms into a single, unified result.

How polls work

1. Create a poll

From the Rebeam dashboard chat tab, click "New Poll" while your stream is live. Enter a question and up to five options. Rebeam automatically announces the poll in both Twitch and YouTube chat.

2. Viewers vote in chat

Viewers type "1", "2", "3", etc. in chat on whichever platform they are watching. Rebeam detects these votes automatically. No bot commands, no links to click. One vote per viewer, deduplicated across platforms.

3. See results in real time

Vote counts update live in the Rebeam dashboard and in the OBS poll overlay. When you end the poll, final results with percentages are announced in chat on both platforms.

Cross-platform voting

Rebeam polls work across Twitch and YouTube simultaneously. Votes from both platforms are counted together into a single result. Each viewer gets one vote, regardless of which platform they are watching on.

This means your poll results reflect your entire audience, not just one platform. No more running separate polls and trying to combine the numbers manually.

Poll overlay for OBS

Show poll results directly on your stream with the poll OBS overlay. Add it as a browser source and it displays the current question, options, live vote counts, and animated progress bars.

The overlay appears automatically when you create a poll and disappears when you end it. You can customise the colors, including title, text, vote bars, and more, from the Rebeam dashboard with a live preview.

Available on Creator plans

Stream polls are available on the Creator plan at £10/month (300 hours) and Creator Plus at £15/month (300 hours). The Starter plan at £5/month includes streaming and chat but does not include polls. Check the pricing page for the full plan comparison.

More creator tools

Stream polls are just one part of the Rebeam toolkit. Creator plans also include:

  • Stream quizzes. Timed questions with scored answers and a live leaderboard.
  • Unified multichat. See Twitch and YouTube chat in one feed.
  • OBS overlays. Show chat, alerts, polls, and quizzes on screen with custom colors.
